National Security

Our stance on National Security is that we need to secure a safe position in the middle east before we are able to withdraw anymore troops and we also need to sure up our boarders through increase spending on our national security budget.

  1. As the threats facing our country have evolved over the years, so too has our ability to respond to them. Our national security personnel are the most dynamic and well-trained in the world, and we must never forget the solemn duty that they fulfill for our nation. Democrats are committed to ensuring that our troops have the training, equipment, and support that they need when they are deployed and the care that they and their families need and deserve when they return home.

  2. I agree on the securing our borders. There are too many people coming into our country in order to make an earning for their family. I also agree that we need to secure the Mid-East. Recently, they have declared the war in Iraq was over so we are starting to get that safe spot. -Ian

  3. National Security is faced as a big problem requarding our borders. There is to many immigrants coming into our country illegally and coming into the work force. Imigrants are taking american jobs while also avoiding taxes.. As far as keeping position in the middle east we need to secure an ally where we can set up a perminat U.S military base before we can even considering remving all troops from hostile countries. - Colton

  5. I agree with the securing our national borders and I believe that national security is very important to the strength of the nation, but I dont agree with the middle east troops topic. More troops mingling around in some barren wasteland looking for people who are killing their own people seems pointless to me, personally. We should be worrying more about ourselves with more troops back home rather than worrying about other peoples' problems. Let bygons be bygons.

  6. Everyone here agrees with the fact that we must spend more money and resources to keep or borders safe from illegal alies and domestic terrorsts, but my view overseas is a little different, I strongly believe in order to protect America for a brighter future for our kids and thier families we must not let up on our relentless campaign in the middle east. If we turn or backs on that region we will lose support of our few allies we have in the middle east in an already increasing hostile and anit-american region. To protect the citizens from terror attacks like 9/11 we must be 100% sure that the countires we are withdrawing from have set up a concrete democratic government and has the sufficent troops to protect it, other wise the soldiers who gave thier lives and the money we have spent will be all for nothing with the immanant threat of another act of terror -dalton

  7. I agree with the securing of the borders because too many problems would occur if there wasn't.
